What does it mean to heal the “mother wound”? Join psychedelic moms Michaela Carlin and Sheleana Aiyana, author of Becoming the One, as they discuss Sheleana’s personal story of triumph over adversity and journey to deep self-acceptance and healing.

In her book, Sheleana sheds light on the pressures of motherhood and the complexities of dealing with personal trauma while raising a child, and how essential vulnerability and self-expression have been in healing and aligning herself with her truth and power.

Despite challenging beginnings marked by drug addiction and foster care, Sheleana has developed a profound understanding of motherhood as a devotional path, enriched by her exploration of her mother wound. Some of the core aspects of her healing have been transpersonal therapy, breathwork and work with earth medicines.

Sheleana Aiyana is an international best selling author of Becoming the One, and founder of Rising Woman, a growing community of more than 3 million readers. Her training and immersion in couples facilitation, inherited family trauma, family systems, conscious relationship, somatic healing, and plant medicines inform her holistic approach to seeing relationship as a spiritual path. She lives with her husband, Ben and their dog Bodhi on xwәnen’әč, the unceded land of the Hul’q’umi’num’- and WSÁNE´ C-speaking Coast Salish peoples, now known as Salt Spring Island, BC.
